Wow, I'm suprised that a chapter that has provided us with a lot of interesting points of discussion has yet to get past the cover page. All I have to say on that is that it looks like Garp isn't around, is that to say he isn't protecting the island full-time since his retirement from the Marines, or is he simply off-panel?
Zoro has taken on the responsibility of being first mate in an admirable fashion, and it is pretty cool to see the Straw Hat Pirates act like, well, pirates for a change. Usopp has also become a lot more serious during times of confrontation, which is cool to see.
Chopper's new Kung Fu point is hilarious, I wonder if it's an addition to his current seven forms, or if all of the previous rumble forms have been replaced with new, more 'evolved' ones.. Sanji being prepared to check out Shirahoshi regardless of whether it might kill him is admirable, it's hard not to respect that level of dedication to the ladies, or in this case mermaids.
Shirley's prediction is starting to take shape, by the look of things. Luffy being responsible for the destruction of Fishman Island while not doing any actual damage himself. What I mean by this is maybe the Flying/New Fishman Pirates alliance could start tearing up the island looking for Shirahoshi, and won't stop until they find her. With Luffy taking her away, and I'm assuming that no one will know where she is going aside from Brook and the Minister, it could lead to a lot of destruction that no one could prevent even if they wanted to.
It's pretty interesting that Luffy is headed to the place Jinbe was planning on meeting with him, hopefully we'll get to see him next chapter, and maybe get an explanation as to why he doesn't want Luffy to fight Hodi in the following one. Though I'm getting a bit ahead of myself.
All this has happened and we've yet to see what Robin and franky are up to, I'm sure they're gonna beat up some police and royal guards either way, so it might be fun. That or Caribou could be up to something? I'm still not sure that anyone besides Luffy could realistically take him down, Logias are difficult to beat.
