Another silly theory popped in my head, so I thought I'd share:
We have an idea of what Hodi Jones wants from what he said about taking back fishman island from king neptune and pulling down all the humans into the abyss. How he plans to do this we dont know, except that the 1st step is defeating king neptune. So if Jones, working with Dekken, are actually able to dethrone the neptune army, then Jones will be able to move onto the "pulling all the humans into the abyss" part.
Luffy destroying fishman island would make sense in this context if the neptune army is unable to stop Hodi Jones' plans and asks Luffy to destroy fishman island in order to keep a catastrophy from happening to the world by fishman island falling into Hodi Jones' hands. Seeing how he called it the center of the world, it makes me think he wants to use it as a base to start his grand takeover the same way Arlong used Nami's home island as his base of operations when he planned to take over east blue.
I know a lot of people have doubts... but I don't think Shirley's prediction was off in any way. She cant be mistaking anyone for Luffy because she saw it when she looked into her crystal after noticing something unique about him specifically. And there's little evidence that she's plotting anything because if it was a setup she couldn't have been able to predict whitebeard's death or the start of the pirate age. Although she seems to be seeing the end of one era and the beginning of another yet again with Luffy.

u may on to something but i think hodi jones plan is to take down the tree that gives them their light source causing the islands above to sink to an abyss. and luffy may just destroy the palace not all of fish men island
